Chief Anime Officer

Daijo Kudo joined Kadokawa Shoten (it was then known as KADOKAWA) after graduated from Hitotsubashi University in 1997. He subsequently held positions including Editor-in-Chief for light novels, head of the comic business (as Editor-in-Chief/Department Manager), and General Manager of the Anime Business Division, before serving as an Executive Officer overseeing the Rights Business.

Leveraging his extensive experience in publishing and anime to further strengthen the mutual collaboration between the anime and rights/merchandising (MD) businesses and to promote Global Media Mix initiatives aimed at maximizing the value of intellectual properties (IPs), he was appointed Chief Anime Officer (CAO) in April 2025.
