Sho Tanaka

Chief Anime Officer

Sho Tanaka joined HAPPINET CORPORATION after graduating from Kochi University, where he gained extensive experience in the production of live-action and animated visual content.

In 2012, he joined Media Factory, Inc. (later acquired by KADOKAWA). As an anime producer, he delivered numerous hit titles that received high acclaim both domestically and internationally. Furthermore, he pioneered business collaborations with major publishers other than KADOKAWA, successfully adapting a series of their highly popular titles into anime, thereby driving significant growth of the company’s anime business.

He was appointed as Executive Officer and Chief Anime Officer (CAO) in June 2026 to leverage his abundant experience and proven track record in the anime industry and drive strategic initiatives spanning both the anime business and anime production operations.
