Tokyo, Japan, KADOKAWA CORPORATION (https://group.kadokawa.co.jp/global/) announced that it will hold a special event, Light Novel Exhibition 2025, at SHIBUYA TSUTAYA located in Shibuya Ward, Tokyo Prefecture, Japan, from Friday, December 19 to Sunday, December 28, 2025. The 10-day event will allow visitors to experience the diverse appeal of light novels.

Following last year’s Light Novel Exhibition, the event will be held again this year at SHIBUYA TSUTAYA (1st and 7th floors), located in the heart of Shibuya, Tokyo, with free admission. The exhibition will feature a comprehensive collection of light novels primarily from KADOKAWA’s popular labels — MF Bunko J, Kadokawa Sneaker Bunko, Fujimi Fantasia Bunko, Dengeki Bunko, Kadokawa BOOKS, and Dengeki Shinbungei. Visitors will be able to fully immerse themselves in the worlds, history, and charm of light novels, discovering new ways to enjoy these stories. This year’s edition will offer even more content to welcome attendees.

On the 1st floor, the exhibition will showcase the evolution of light novels, from the medium’s early classics to major contemporary hits. Highlights include the Light Novel Road, featuring numerous book covers, and the Highlight Wall, which revisits iconic scenes from various works.
On the 7th floor, the Collaboration Cafe will offer themed menus in collaboration with 11 different titles, along with a Light Novel Bookshelf, a collection of shelves filled exclusively with light novel works, and a special display featuring handwritten messages from authors and illustrators. Over 150 event-exclusive merchandise items featuring newly commissioned illustrations will be available for purchase, alongside books with unique wide book bands. Visitors will also receive a free official guidebook for the event. With its accessible location and engaging content, the exhibition is perfect for a casual visit during the winter holiday season.

Event Highlights

■Rediscover the Appeal of Light Novels

On the 1st floor, the Light Novel Road allows visitors to immerse themselves in the world of light novels, walking among book covers spanning from the medium’s early classics to the latest releases. The Highlight Wall features iconic scenes from popular series such as The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Re:Zero, and Sword Art Online, accompanied by text excerpts and beautifully illustrated artwork.
On the 7th floor, the Collaboration Café features the Light Novel Bookshelf, a collection consisting entirely of light novels, and a special corner with handwritten messages from authors and illustrators. These messages and illustrations are exclusive to Light Novel Exhibition 2025.

On the 7th floor, the Collaboration Café will feature drinks and food inspired by characters from 11 different light novel titles. Visitors who purchase at the cafe will be eligible to enter a lottery in which all participants receive a prize.

Collaboration Café Lottery: Participation Details

- Guests can participate by ordering at least one item from the cafe menu.
- Each food, dessert, or drink order counts as one entry (water is excluded).
- Every participant is guaranteed to win one of the prizes: A, B, C, or D.
- Participants who order a set of one food or dessert plus one drink can select one prize from B, C, or D and specify the design (one prize per set).
- If only a single item (food, dessert, or drink) is ordered, the design for B, C, or D prizes will be assigned randomly.
- After ordering, show your receipt to the staff at the lottery counter to participate. Participation is not allowed without a valid receipt.
