Bandai Namco Entertainment & FromSoftware collaboration “ELDEN RING NIGHTREIGN” ships 5 million units worldwide! “ELDEN RING” DLC “SHADOW OF THE ERDTREE” breaks 10 million!〈FromSoftware〉
Bandai Namco Entertainment Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Nao Udagawa) and FromSoftware, Inc. (Headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; President: Hidetaka Miyazaki) announced that their new title “ELDEN RING NIGHTREIGN”, a spinoff of joint developed action RPG “ELDEN RING” (published by FromSoftware in Japan and by Bandai Namco Entertainment in overseas territories), has shipped over 5 million units (*1) worldwide; while “ELDEN RING” downloadable content “SHADOW OF THE ERDTREE” has surpassed 10 million units (*1, 2) shipped worldwide since its release in 2024.
Released as a spinoff title on May 30th 2025, “ELDEN RING NIGHTREIGN” inherits elements from “ELDEN RING” while overhauling its game design into a co-op action survival game, in which players join forces to face increasingly overwhelming situations in a thrilling session based structure. The game has received praise from a broad range of players, including those new to the series, and has shipped over 5 million units globally.
The “ELDEN RING” downloadable content “SHADOW OF THE ERDTREE” released on June 21st 2024, continuing the partnership of joint effort between FromSoftware’s development and Bandai Namco Entertainment’s overseas marketing, and has also enjoyed an increase in sales, surpassing 10 million units shipped worldwide.
